Our consultants are fully accredited by the Law Society to provide Lexcel consultancy services to law firms and in-house legal departments.
Lexcel is the Law Society's practice management standard for law firms and in-house legal departments. It demonstrates excellence in practice management and client care which can help your organisation stand out from a crowded market and give clients and other stakeholders confidence in your practice.
It is also accepted by the Legal Aid Agency and the Money Advice Service as an alternative to the Specialist Quality Mark ("SQM") accreditation.

Initial accreditation
If you are thinking of switching from SQM or want to achieve Lexcel accreditation for your organisation for the first time, it is imperative that you get specialist advice. Not only will this save you time and money in the long run but it will also ensure that you have the best possible chance of achieving your accreditation at the first attempt.
It can take several months and a lot of man hours to prepare for an initial assessment. With the help of fully qualified and accredited Lexcel consultants, you can be sure to reduce the stress and strain of preparing for your initial assessment.
Our Lexcel consultants have helped many firms prepare for and successfully achieve Lexcel accreditation on the first attempt. Some of them are practising solicitors as well and have many years' experience of working in law firms and in-house legal departments as equity and salaried partners and compliance partners.

Do I need a consultant?
Think about how many hours per month or year you spend on Lexcel and other compliance including the associated training.
Multiplying that number by your hourly rate that you charge to clients will give you a cost per month or per year. If this figure is higher than what a consultant would charge for doing the same thing, then it is highly likely that you will benefit from having a consultant. The added benefit is you can carry on doing what you are good at, being a lawyer.
Alternatively, if you just want to clear your desk (and head) of Lexcel compliance and you just want to leave everything to someone else or just need some additional help, that is also a good reason for having an external consultant. It will almost definitely save you time and money in the long run.
